Having a pot luck dinner is great, you get to see and interact with family/friends, and not spend a lot. suelee1998 @ gmail.com

Host a cookie exchange – everyone brings a treat and everyone leaves with a whole plate full of different treats!

  3. Shane R. says:

Have a pizza party – use coupons and it’s fairly inexpensive and you don’t have to do any cooking!

At this time of year , so many Families get together and are so afraid someone may have purchased you a gift, and you will feel terrible if you dont have one in return. So, I love the Chinese Gift exchange things. You know the one where one person opens the gift, the next person will either snag that gift or a new one. Gifts can only be stolen two times after that, its not eligible any longer. If your gift gets taken, then you can go pick a new one.. These are really fun ways of gift exchanges, it takes up a little time, and can be varied in lots of ways.. Add a few gag gifts in there like burnt candles, half eaten boxes of chocolates, etc… Either the host can purchase all the gifts, or each guest can bring one. I have even done this with Christmas ornament exchanges also..
